The number one reason employees leave their employer is because of their manager.
At the world leader of leader business, the competitive and sometimes abrupt relationship can alienate talents. Rehumanising the manager-employee relationship is therefore a priority, and appraisals are the ideal opportunity.
Following a study and analysis of the situation, which led to several proposals, a new appraisal system was adopted. Managers and employees are given joint responsibility for appraisal, based on technical and managerial criteria and levels to be achieved in relation to job descriptions. These issues are reviewed twice a year. At the end of the year the dialogue focuses on objectives and results, and at mid-year on skills development.
Remote and face-to-face training workshops are offered worldwide through HR. E-learning courses are available for managers and employees to ensure international deployment. Webinars are also held on a regular basis.
The new appraisal system took a year to implement. As hoped, the dialogue between managers and employees has been reinvented and the Group has regained its position of choice for young graduates.
